SFTP Password Reset Process Change
Effective March 27, 2022, trading partners using Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) to exchange data with CSSC Operations will have more control over the timing of password resets. Passwords must still be reset every 60 days at a minimum; however, requests for password resets can be done any time using the Password Reset Tool available on the CSSC Operations website.
Moving forward, CSSC Operations will send an email notification to the technical point of contact 10 business days prior to the SFTP password expiration date. The email will contain the link to the SFTP Password Reset Tool. If no action is taken, a new password will be sent via email 5 business days prior to the expiration date. In addition, listserv notifications will no longer be sent regarding upcoming SFTP password changes.
